Last Friday I put together this video to show how I do a daytime glam look, that can also be fabulous for the evening as well. There’s something special about Fridays, so it always feels good to go into the weekend feeling fresh. I used to be so against pink for eye shadow, but now I can’t seem to get away from alllll the pink tones.
With two kids under the age of 2 (I’m going to be saying this a lot for the next 6 months until my daughter turns 2 LOL), I have to make sure I take care of myself. These quick simple looks are natural looking and can be added upon. For example if you need to freshen up later in the day you won’t have a ton of makeup on so you can add to it without it getting cakey or just gross looking.
Whenever I do people’s makeup they always say they are inspired and want to know more. I have no problem sharing everything I do to achieve a nice clean glow, I think everyone should feel fresh-faced.
The canvas being worked on (your face) needs to be well taken care of, starting with what you eat and drink. If you are eating lots of sugars and processed foods then your skin may have breakouts or look dull. Also if you refuse to drink water or forget to, you should start if you want your skin to be hydrated. How can it be hydrated with no water? If you eat terribly and have no breakouts(I know people like this), then you are very blessed!
When I don’t moisturize my skin immediately after a shower or washing my face, it feels completely dry and that is not OK! Putting makeup on with no moisturizer will never look good. Sometimes I exfoliate but who has time for that all the time? Not me. So whatever you put on your face after moisturizing should look good, whether it’s a $50 foundation or a $10 one from Target. Just don’t ever forget to moisturize! Please, for the sake of your face.
So with that being said, this look was achieved right after I washed my face and moisturized it. The primer I put on first in the video is also necessary to make sure my makeup doesn’t look uneven. Whenever I go without a foundation primer and use a full coverage foundation, it just does not look it’s best! The foundation I’m using here is the HudaBeauty #fauxfilter and it’s my absolute favorite right now and it smells incredible!
Hope this video has helped shed some light on how simple it can be to achieve a flawless natural-looking glam look!
